On the 5 May 1962, the “All India Heart Foundation” was established, primarily through the efforts of India's first woman cardiologist, Padma Vibhushan Awardee, Dr. S. Padmavati. She was greatly influenced by her guru Dr. Paul Dudley White, who sought to transform the way medical science catered to the needs of a common person.

Awareness & Heart Screening

Vill. Patiya, Almora, Uttarakhand 29 Sep 2026 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Admin Event Expired

National Heart Institute, New Delhi, in association with Uttarayana Faith Foundation, will organize a Heart Health Awareness and Screening Programme on 29 September from 10:00 AM onwards at Patiya Village, Almora. Residents of Patiya, Kasoon, and surrounding villages will participate in the programme. Under the guidance of Mr. Kumar Bhattacharya and with the support of the Uttarayana doctors and healthcare team, participants will receive heart-health awareness, basic medical screening, cardiac risk assessment, and guidance for further consultation and care.
