This test is used to diagnose any bacterial infection of the urinary tract which is the pathway urine takes till it is excreted out of the body. This defines which bacteria are causing infection and which medications will be most effective. Urine culture maybe advised if you have symptoms such as blood in urine, burning sensation, painful urination, frequent urination & cloudy urine.

Instructions for Sample collection:
-Wash your hands and clean the genital area with the provided cleansing wipe.
-Start urinating into the toilet.
-Collect the midstream urine in a sterile, laboratory-provided container without touching the inside.
-Close the container tightly immediately after collection.
-Label the sample as instructed and submit it to the laboratory as soon as possible.
-Avoid collecting urine from a bedpan, urinal, or other non-sterile container.
