A urine routine test (urinalysis) is a common laboratory test used to examine urine for abnormalities. It evaluates the urine’s physical appearance, chemical composition, and microscopic contents.
It may help detect or monitor conditions such as: Urinary tract infections (UTIs), Kidney disorders, Diabetes and other metabolic conditions Dehydration and blood or protein in the urine.
Sample: Usually a clean-catch, midstream urine sample collected in a sterile container.
