APTT

APTT (Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time) is a blood test that measures how long it takes for your blood to clot. It evaluates certain clotting factors involved in the intrinsic and common coagulation pathways.
The test is commonly used to: Investigate unexplained bleeding or bruising. Detect clotting factor deficiencies or abnormalities. Help diagnose conditions such as hemophilia.
Monitor treatment with unfractionated heparin.
