Healthcare Services for Rural Communities

Established in 2017 in Bhulura village, Papersahily, Almora, Uttarayana Hospital brings quality healthcare closer to underserved rural communities. Operated through Uttarayana Faith Foundation, with support from National Heart Institute, New Delhi, the hospital provides regular and specialist outpatient consultations, inpatient care and community health camps. These services have benefited more than 10,000 patients.

Mobile Healthcare Services for Rural Communities

In 2018, the hospital introduced a Basic Cardiac Life Support Mobile Clinic, extending diagnostic and cardiac services to 100 remote villages across the Almora region. Its outreach covers areas including Kasardevi, Barechina, Koshi, Basoli, Deenapani, Balta, Maat, Matena, Dhaulchina, Sheraghat and Chitaai, bringing essential care to communities with limited or no access to government health facilities.

Through free medical camps, cardiac screening, specialist consultations, health education and treatment assistance, these initiatives support early diagnosis, timely referrals and access to treatment, helping families overcome distance and financial barriers to healthcare.
