Launched in 2021 by Uttarayana Foundation in collaboration with National Heart Institute, New Delhi, the Nai Umang Programme helps girls from disadvantaged backgrounds pursue education, build confidence and move towards an independent future.

Since its launch, the programme has supported 42 girls, helping them overcome barriers and take meaningful steps towards self-reliance.

Our Objectives

  • Support education: Help girls continue their studies and pursue further learning.
  • Build confidence: Encourage informed decisions, personal growth and belief in their abilities.
  • Prepare for livelihoods: Promote skills and career readiness for future employment.
  • Enable independence: Strengthen the ability to lead a life of dignity and contribute to society.

Our Success Story: 42 Girls, New Possibilities

Nai Umang’s success is reflected in the journeys of 42 girls supported towards education and greater independence. Each journey represents an opportunity to grow beyond difficult circumstances and work towards a future shaped by personal aspirations.

The programme’s purpose is lasting change: helping girls develop the confidence and capabilities to make their own choices and become self-reliant.
