Department of Pediatric Cardiology

The Department of Pediatric Cardiology (24x7) of National Heart Institute is headed by Dr. Vikas Gupta Consultant Interventional Pediatric Cardiologist, he has completed M.B.B.S from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, Mangalore in 2007 followed by DNB (Pediatrics) in 2013 from National Board of Examination, New Delhi and FNB (Pediatric Cardiology) in 2016 from NH-RTIICS Hospital, Kolkata, West Bengal. At NHI we are promotes the health of children and adolescents with a balanced program that seeks new knowledge through research, provides outstanding educational opportunities, delivers high quality comprehensive clinical care and service, advocates strongly for children and adolescents, and is responsive to the changing needs of our community and society.

Department of Pediatric Cardiology handles both Acyanotic and Cyanotic (Blue Babies) congenital heart disease. Our Aim at NHI is that no baby should die from congenital heart disease(Treatable) irrespective of age, gender, socioeconomic status and religion.
