CREATINE KINASE MB (CKMB)

CK-MB (Creatine Kinase–MB) test is a blood test that measures the level of the CK-MB enzyme, which is found mainly in heart muscle.
It may be used to help detect heart muscle injury, particularly in the evaluation of a heart attack (myocardial infarction). CK-MB levels can rise several hours after heart muscle damage and generally return toward normal within a few days.
