CREATINE PHOSPHOKINASE (CPK)

CPK (Creatine Phosphokinase) test, also called CK (Creatine Kinase), is a blood test that measures the level of the CPK enzyme in the blood. This enzyme is mainly found in the skeletal muscles, heart, and brain.
CPK levels can increase after strenuous exercise, muscle injury, injections, or certain medications, so results should be interpreted along with symptoms and other tests.
