FERRITIN

A ferritin blood test measures the level of ferritin, a protein that stores iron in the body. It is commonly used to assess the body's iron stores and help identify iron deficiency or iron overload.
To evaluate iron deficiency or anemia, symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, dizziness, or shortness of breath, monitor iron levels during or after treatment and to help detect conditions associated with excess iron storage.
