The National Board of Examinations – The NBE, New Delhi has recognised NHI for the training of candidates in Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, and Cardiac Anaesthesia. Apart from that Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) had recognised NHI for the Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Cardiology (PGDCC), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has recognised NHI for 2 Years M.Sc. Cardiothoracic Nursing and Texila University has also recognised NHI for the 2 Years Fellowship in Non-Invasive Cardiology. Till date over 135 bright young minds have passed through the hallowed portals of NHI and have established a niche in their respective arenas.

World Health Organisation (WHO) sponsors overseas Staff Nurses for three months of training at the National Heart Institute from time to time. Till now four batches consisting of 31 Nurses have successfully completed their training.
We provide voluntary technical training facilities to those students who are from a lower-income group of society & from various educational Institutes of Delhi-NCR, in the specialties like Cath Lab, Dietetics, Biochemistry, ECG, Holter, TMT as well as in Operation Theatre and Blood Bank. To date, we have trained more than 60 students in various fields.
